About me...
My journey into mental health work began when I was just 18, working at a day camp with children. What started as a summer job quickly became something more meaningful as I witnessed how early experiences, relationships, and environments shape emotional well-being. That curiosity led me to pursue an undergraduate degree in Family Studies and Human Services, where my passion for supporting individuals and families continued to grow.
After graduating, I spent several years working as a program assistant at a teen center on a military installation. It was there that my calling became clear. I worked closely with teenagers navigating complex developmental milestones while also struggling with body image concerns, anxiety, depression, family stress, and the unique challenges of military life. I saw how deeply these experiences impacted their sense of identity, self-worth, and safety—and I knew I wanted to do more.
After three years in the field, I returned to graduate school to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. I began my clinical work specializing in eating disorders, where I quickly learned that many mental health struggles—especially those tied to self-image, control, and emotional regulation—are rooted in unresolved trauma. This understanding shaped my therapeutic approach and deepened my commitment to trauma-informed care.
Today, my work focuses on helping clients heal trauma, reconnect with their authentic selves, build healthy boundaries, and reintegrate their personal narratives in ways that foster confidence, self-trust, and self-esteem. I use an integrative, client-paced approach that draws from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), alongside CBT and DBT interventions to support emotional regulation, insight, and practical change.
I believe healing happens when people feel seen, supported, and empowered to understand their stories—not as something that defines them, but as something that can be integrated with compassion and meaning. My role is to walk alongside you as you move from surviving to living with greater clarity, courage, and connection.

Specialized Services
Chronic Trauma
Chronic trauma refers to repeated or long-term exposure to distressing events, such as abuse, neglect, or ongoing stress. Therapy helps process these experiences, reduce their emotional impact, and restore a sense of safety and stability in daily life.
Complex PTSD
Complex trauma occurs when someone experiences multiple or prolonged traumatic events, often during critical developmental periods. Treatment focuses on understanding the impact on identity, relationships, and emotional regulation while rebuilding trust, boundaries, and self-compassion.
Eating Disorders
Eating disorders involve unhealthy relationships with food, body image, and self-control. Therapy addresses underlying trauma, emotional struggles, and negative beliefs while fostering body acceptance, self-esteem, and sustainable coping strategies.
Low Self-Esteem
Low self-esteem can affect how you view yourself, make decisions, and relate to others. Therapy works to identify negative self-beliefs, reframe personal narratives, and build confidence, self-trust, and a stronger sense of worth.
Stage-of-Life Adjustment
Life transitions—like adolescence, college, career shifts, or parenthood—can bring stress, uncertainty, and self-doubt. Therapy provides guidance and tools to navigate these changes, align with personal values, and develop resilience during pivotal moments.
Adolescent Therapy
Adolescent therapy supports teens navigating emotional, social, and developmental challenges. It addresses anxiety, depression, identity, family dynamics, and peer pressures in a safe, nonjudgmental space, fostering self-awareness, coping skills, and confidence.
